Scientists are beginning to better understand fatigue in regards to calcium content in the muscle.  Here is a new proposed figure of the intricate process of excitation contraction coupling, the chemical mechanisn by which muscles contract, and proteins on the membrane  of the sarcoplasmic reticulum involved with it. Danish study finds calcium counteracts effects of dairy fat uptake

“The major finding is that dairy calcium attenuates the increase in total and LDL-cholesterol produced by increased dairy fat, without affecting the rise in HDL-cholesterol,” wrote Lorenzen and Astrup.
